A ballistic missile fired by North Korea has landed in Japan’s economic zone, in the sea west of Hokkaido. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Japan Fumio Kishida. According to him, with a normal flight path, the rocket could travel about 15,000 km and reach the continental United States.
The Japan Coast Guard said it had no information on damage to Japanese aircraft or ships.
“I once again resolutely declare that this is absolutely unacceptable,” Mr. Kishida commented on the incident. His words are broadcast by NHK.
November 18, the media reported that the DPRK launched an intercontinental ballistic missile in an easterly direction.
